Did you ever think about how to move a team from your Office 365 Tenant to another Office 365 Tenant? As I’m working for an IT service company, this is a frequent request when a business unit is sold to another company, or if a carve out takes place.

I appreciate if you feel this is really a required feature. It looks like most larger companies that started using Teams did not think about how to handle organizational changes that may require to move their data to a different tenant. On the other hand, most important data about product development and current production work can be found in your Team channels.
While you can migrate Exchange Server, Skype for Business and Sharepoint Online easily across tenants, it looks like this is not as easy task for the Microsoft Teams app. Even though I’m not thinking about how to move it back to on-premises environments (interesting question, but not my deal), this is only about moving from your old Office 365 Tenant to a new one.
